Then the heat can make a comeback – after an ambivalent month of April.
– SMuch of April has been colder than is normal for the time of yearsays TV4’s meteorologist Linda Eriksson.
This year, the April weather has lived up to its name, to say the least. Snow, rain, debris and freezing temperatures mixed with sun and heat.
– Many have probably experienced April as chilly and large parts of April have been colder than is normal for the time of year, but the period 8-14 April was actually warmer than normal in the whole country, says Linda Eriksson.
“Hope for a warm spring Valborg”
During the next week, several new low pressures move in over Scandinavia and make the rest of the month really chilly. Snowfall is also expected far south in the country.
– The cold air appears to remain over the country and it becomes unstable at times with areas of precipitation moving in.
But just as April gives way to May, hopefully the cold gives way to the heat.
– As the forecast looks now, warmer air will move in over southern Sweden until the end of next week and the warmer air will then spread north over the country, says Linda Eriksson.
– There is still hope for a spring-warm Walborg Fair evening.
