It’s not a word commonly associated with modern pop artists, but Fricky is – rar. There is something undisguisedly kind about the ex-rapper that makes him end up on the plus side even before he opens his mouth and lets go of his very charming Västerbotten, perhaps Sweden’s most naturally singing dialect, and turns every “attempt” into “pre-joke” and “understand” to ” fishing year ”.

When he sings that he has no fears left, it is simply easy to believe him. There is as if not an ounce of cynicism in him, which makes him very lovable in a time dominated by just that.

When relationships in pop lyrics often seen as something one can win or lose in chatter he softly about being up over the ears in love, dare to be himself and have deep talk all night. If he sings about sex, this difficult popular subject, it is without neuroses or fuss, just straight and open, fun and loving. If he is ambiguous, he is both resourceful and funny – “I think I eat healthy, but still I’m shitty”. Although he obviously pronounces it “schiiitfet”.

In the middle talk on the Garden stage, he may not be very cohesive all the time, but the feelings are so many and the love for everyone who is in place to share the experience with him is so great that it inevitably still melts a little. It is the quality of him that makes the audience with their singing in “Moonshine” try to lift Skanstullsbron somewhere far above the stage.

That is not to say that it is an absolutely perfect concert. There are irregularities in the song material and in the slightly sloppy and fuzzy there is of course also the risk of flowing out a little and losing focus from time to time. It sways a lot quite simply.

At the same time, you easily forgive Fricky. Even when the concert gets unnecessarily messy, the chaos is always extremely welcoming and entertaining.
