In France, the organizers of the Paris Olympics canceled Monday’s exercises in the Seine river because its water quality is not at an adequate level.
Organizers said they were confident the races would go ahead on Tuesday and Wednesday.
On Sunday, the organizers said that the pollution of the river was worsened by last week’s rains.
