A woman who rides her cargo bike here every day thinks that the addition of speed pedelecs does not benefit road safety. “This is like a highway for cyclists. You can no longer cycle next to each other with two people, because then someone will call again that someone wants to pass.” And that is before speed pedelecs are allowed on the bike path. “They go too fast, and it is much too busy. Children cycle here, even on their own bicycle.” She takes that into account herself, with her electric cargo bike. “It also goes fast, but I do adjust my speed. That is also the responsibility of the cyclist.”
