Gerard Butler in Olympus Has Fallen

Olympus Has Fallen is straightforward, really exciting action and therefore very successful

Anyone who doesn’t mind the extra portion of trash and national pride will get a down-to-earth action blockbuster in the tradition of Die Hard or Red AlertA single, latently worn-out but extremely capable lone fighter goes it alone against countless villains, turning off their lights one by one. He really lets it rip and the whole thing is just plain fun.

Apparently many other people agree, because the first film spawned a whole series that continued with London Has Fallen and Angel Has Fallen. A fourth part called Night Has Fallen is in development and a Spin-off series is also expected to come. Even though the quality of the series varies, it was financially very successful (via: The Numbers ) and the beginning is definitely worth it.
