Last week, October 17, 2024, is The Lincoln Lawyer returned to Netflix. This week, season 3 moved up to number 1 in the series charts. The reunion with Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) apparently convinces many as an unusual legal series. The character already had his own film with a star cast 13 years ago.

Netflix’s #1: The Lincoln Lawyer already has 3 seasons and a movie

When the series started two years ago, The Lincoln Lawyer was at the top of Netflix and was described as “ugly but captivating”. The extraordinary thing about the crime thriller format is that the eponymous… defender does not have a classic law office, but operated from his cara Lincoln Navigator.

In addition to flashbacks to Mickey Haller’s past and the marriage to his great love Maggie (Neve Campbell), the lawyer has to deal with this in season 3 Murder of a call girl deal with. The matter is complicated by the fact that he knew Gloria Dayton (Fiona Rene) personally because he once successfully defended her in court. However, his current client, who is said to have killed the sex worker, protests his innocence.

The series creators Ted Humphrey (The Unit) and David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies) are not the only ones who have discovered The Lincoln Lawyer as an exciting protagonist: Brad Furman (The Infiltrator) filmed the first novel of the same name in the US crime series in 2011 -Author Michael Connelly: The client with Matthew McConaughey in the main role of the motorized lawyer. In order to deliver something new as a story, the Netflix series The Lincoln Lawyer, unlike the film, tackled the crime volumes 2, 4 and 5 in its three seasons so far: So help us God *, The fifth witness * and now gods of guilt *. There are a total of seven books in the Mickey Haller series.
