This is what professional hockey is like.
Tappara won the SM league championship on Thursday and the team members tell why it is customary to celebrate for many days.
Casimir Jürgens says that the victory was a great emotional storm. Now we want to enjoy it together as a whole team.
– Of course, the team always breaks up after the season, it will never be the same again. We have an eternal bond, that we have won the battle.
As part of the celebrations, the Tappara team went to get their hair and beards trimmed at a barbershop in Tampere.
Niko Ojamäki left a small bed because shaving has become a receipt before.
The night before, the team celebrated in a nightclub and sauna. On Friday evening, they go to a restaurant and eat together.
– Every season is unique. We have to enjoy ourselves with these guys and let’s move on to the next season. Now let’s enjoy the maximum.
Kristian Kuusela end his long playing career. He hasn’t had time to think about it yet.
– An era is coming to an end, it’s been here for a long time. Let’s enjoy the championship now first.
According to Kuusela, there are hard-partying youth among the youth, but togetherness is also important for conkers.
– Let’s keep the team together in one place. Gotta enjoy it before the team breaks up. It’s always a year’s work and then it ends like this. We therefore try to be together as long as possible.
Kuusela does not yet know what he will do after his hockey career.
– I haven’t thought about it, let’s take it easy in the summer. There is no rush in any direction.
