Are you tired of your phone’s connectors being loaded with dust and dirt? With this tip, you will be able to clean them in just a few seconds.
A phone is an object that can accompany us for years. As you use it, it is normal for your phone to become a little damaged or loaded with dirt. However, it is crucial to keep your device in the best possible condition, not only to keep it in operation, but also if you wish to resell it or transfer it to a third party within a few years.
There are all kinds of techniques for cleaning a smartphone. Whether it’s a solution based on soap and water or even white vinegar for the device’s screen, you won’t be short of tips to improve the condition of your smartphone.
But if there’s one little area that few people give importance to, it’s your phone’s connectors, microphones and speakers. These small holes are, however, important since they can cause the device to malfunction. A poorly maintained or never cleaned USB port can accumulate so much dust and dirt that you simply won’t be able to charge it! In this case, the only solution is generally to go through a dedicated repairer, but to drop a few tickets in the process.
Fortunately, there is a technique for cleaning out the holes in your phone. The latter is very simple and is based on an object that everyone has at home: tape. To clean the holes in the device, take a roll of tape and cut a small piece that you will place on the holes you want to clean. This could be your phone’s charging port or the speakers.
Then take a thin, hard object like a pin or paper clip and press the tape inside the holes you want to clean. Don’t force it too much either. The goal is simply for the tape to be well fixed on your device in order to capture all the small dirt embedded inside. Once this is done, simply take a small pair of tweezers and remove the tape. You should find some dirt stuck to it!
If some large dust remains, you can also use the tweezers to catch them directly in your phone. However, this technique is not easy to achieve for speakers, which are generally too small. Practice this cleaning from time to time, especially when you notice dirt in the holes of your phone, and it will be in much better condition after several years of use!
