Filming for Superman aka Superman Legacy has been in full swing since the end of February. The live-action debut of the new DCU, directed by James Gunn, has recently been filmed on the streets of Cleveland, which is seen as Metropolis in the film – and attracted curious paparazzi.

A detail on the superheroes’ costumes is already fueling the theories of DC fans. Not only Green Lantern and Hawkgirl, but also Mr. Terrific wear a prominent logo on their costumes that shows the letters J and L. However, this was previously revealed as the logo of the company Lordtech.

So we can assume that the superheroes shown are part of the Justice League, which in turn works for the DC character Maxwell Lord or is sponsored by it. That would explain why Green Lantern, Hawkgirl and Mr. Terrific (have to) wear similarly uniform leather jacket outfits.

James Gunn’s Superman reboot starts on July 10, 2025 in German cinemas and lays the foundation for the DC Universe in cinemas. As the very first project of the new DCU, the animated series Creature Commandos will be launched on the streaming service Max in December 2024.
