There is a feature in Path of Exile 2 that almost no one uses, but it can solve many of your problems

In Path of Exile 2 you can make your character faster and stronger with just a few clicks. This is all thanks to a feature that most people have probably overlooked.

What kind of feature is this? There are many innovations, systems and mechanics in Path of Exile 2 that did not exist in its predecessor. The dodgeroll and movement are the best innovations for many players. However, one feature in the game is a bit hidden.

Weapon set switching is something that very few people have ever used. In Path of Exile 2 you can carry two different sets of weapons with you and, for example, when fighting difficult bosses you can switch to a different set that makes the fight easier.

But this feature also offers another function, the weapon set skill points. During the game you can split some of your skill points. For example, you can use fire damage in one of your weapon sets and electrical damage in the other. But the system can also be used creatively, as a player is now proving.

You can find a useful NPC in every city:

Stronger and faster thanks to weapon sets

How can the feature be used? The weapon set feature is unlikely to be used by most players because their build handles all types of content well. If you don’t use it, you can get a big advantage for your character.

Reddit user Thorriorz explains how to do it. He equipped his previously unused weapon set with a “Wulfsbane” shield.

This shield enchants the enemy upon a successful block, causing them to take 10% more damage and deal 10% less damage. According to the user, this effect lasts for the duration of the entire fight.

What do you do with the skill points? You can also make your character stronger with skill points without playing two really different builds.

As user jamaljermaine explains on Reddit, the additional points can be used to skill skills such as movement speed, block chance or light radius.

Especially when large maps without bosses await you again, changing the weapon set can provide additional movement speed. If a strong opponent does appear, you can return to your usual weapon set by pressing the X button.

Which skill points are most worthwhile for you depends on your character’s build. If you don’t know what’s worth it, movement speed should probably be one thing that’s always helpful.

There are also countless options for weapons and shields that you can choose from for your build. This trick can solve many of your problems, but you’ll have to try it out for yourself to see if the annoyance from the first game disappears: players have been wanting to ban a mechanic for 5 years, but it continues to be annoying in Path of Exile 2 too
