It’s a simple everyday gesture, but there are a few basic rules that everyone forgets to charge their smartphone much more quickly and efficiently.
Plug in your phone in the evening so you can benefit from a full battery when the day begins. A simple gesture anchored in the daily lives of many users which could nevertheless be improved! There are, in fact, several techniques known (or not) that allow you to recharge your phone more quickly.
First of all, you need to have the appropriate equipment. Newer smartphones often do not have a charger included with purchase. An often ecological (and economical) choice for these brands which nevertheless promise ever faster charges. The latest iPhone 15s are notably compatible with chargers up to 20 or 30W while the latest Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 goes up to 33W. It is therefore advisable to find out about your device by typing its name on the internet and find the charger with the maximum compatible capacity. Once this is done, you will only need to acquire a charger powerful enough to reach maximum charging speed!
Second rule to follow: you should also use a real wall outlet. If you charge your phone with, for example, a computer, the charging speed will be much slower! So make sure you plug your device into a regular power outlet.
Finally, charging your phone is also much faster if you turn off its functionality. By switching your device to airplane mode or turning it off completely, you will prevent it from performing background activities (like receiving your notifications). It is also strongly recommended not to touch your phone while it is charging. This would turn on its screen and consume battery power, slowing down the process.
The efficiency of recharging, in addition to reducing electricity consumption, often makes it possible to keep a battery in good condition for longer, with real savings to be expected. Also keep in mind that it is best not to charge your phone beyond 80% in order to preserve its battery and extend its lifespan. Many recent smartphones offer the option to automatically activate the 80% recharge limit in their settings and the “battery” tab.
