There are 2 end credits scenes and the second features

Even if your children are jumping around impatiently in the cinema seats: You have to stay in the hall after the end of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, because the end credits sequence is tough. There are a post-credit scene and a mid-credit scene. Both are worth it. This article explains why you should endure. There follow of course Spoiler.

What happens in Mario’s 2 end credits scenes

Credits scene 1: Bowser sings again (still small)

The Super Mario Bros. mid-credit scene directly follows the events of the film. The evil Bowser was defeated by Mario, Luigi and Peach in the finale. Even better, he eats a blue mushroom and shrinks to a normal turtle size. Mario locks him in a mason jar. In the end credits scene, Bowser belts out a languid hymn to his great love, Peach, and plays his piano—a mini piano, since Bowser is still small. A mushroom guard annoys him. A little bit of information: In the original, Jack Black lends Bowser his voice. Black is a relatively great singer himself and co-wrote parts of Mario’s soundtrack.

Credits Scene 2: Yoshi is born!

Yoshi

The final post-credits scene opens up a whole new faucet. It could appease fans who have been longingly waiting for one character in particular throughout the 90-minute film: the dino-lizard Yoshi. Exactly, unfortunately, the popular character from the Mario-verse does not appear in the main film. Only the last scene introduces him. We see a sewer, probably from New York. There is a white, green dotted egg lying around. The shell cracks and an exclamation is heard: “Wahoooo!” – the Yoshi signature. The film most likely hints at a larger appearance in a possible Mario sequel.

Actually, Mario (originally voiced by Chris Pratt) is just a plumber from Brooklyn. But through a crazy set of circumstances, he suddenly finds himself on a journey through the Mushroom Kingdom with Princess Peach and a talking mushroom named Toad. Together the three try to find Mario’s brother Luigi. Only then can they save the world from the ruthless, fire-breathing Bowser.
