One Marvel fan believes Ke Huy Quan’s new character in the MCU could be the key to saving the universe in season 2 of Loki. The reason for this is a detail that was overlooked in the official trailer of the series.
Loki season 2, Ouroboros icon and endless loop
In a point first noticed by ScreenCrush, Quan’s character OB wears a jumpsuit with an interesting logo when introduced in the trailer. On closer inspection, the symbol appears to be a snake or an “ouroboros” depicted eating its own tail; which represents an endless loop.
Time travel will also be covered in the series.
Considering how season 1 ended, we know that the upcoming episode will be a rather confusing and time-bound journey, which can be seen in Loki’s ‘shift in time’.
User TheMediocreCritic on Reddit suggested that the ouroboros might be a clue that Loki may need to establish the Time Variance Authority, the mysterious organization he was trying to fundamentally destroy in the previous episode, to restore balance and create another Sacred Timeline.
Previously, there was a multi-universal war. Countless unique timelines battled each other for supremacy, causing almost everything to disappear completely. According to TheMediocreCritic, when Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) killed off the Kang variant He Who Remains, it basically started a new multi-universe war, so the cycle started again.
Referring to Jörmungandr, who is also called the “world serpent” in Norse mythology, the user claims that Loki could even use it as a sign of his army of Timekeepers.
Finally, TheMediocreCritic notes that the season 2 poster of Loki has various versions of Loki constantly running across the watch face of Miss Minutes. It definitely makes a point, too, that there might be something to this loop idea. Season 2 of Loki will debut on October 6, with a cast that also includes Owen Wilson, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw. If these theories come true, it is certain that the series will evolve to a completely different point.
