If he becomes unemployed at the age of 40 and remains unemployed for over a year, the monthly income under the pension ends up at SEK 23,033. Two years of unemployment gives a pension of SEK 22,666 a month.

A person with a salary of SEK 45,200 who becomes unemployed at the age of 40 for just a few months has a pension of SEK 27,684 a month before tax, according to County insurances. If he is unemployed for more than a year, the pension ends up at SEK 27,410 a month. The same figure for two years is SEK 26,993.
