That’s what the series with Joel Basman is about
Joel Basman plays Franz Kafka, who grows up in a large middle-class Jewish family in Prague. He discovered his passion for writing at an early age and wrote several texts. His close friend Max Brod (David Kross) is his biggest supporter and encourages him to publish his works. Brod himself is a respected writer full of energy and enthusiasm firmly believes in Kafka’s talent and encourages him to continue to be creative. He is known for his numerous love affairs and his warm-hearted nature, which clearly distinguishes him from his shy friend.
An intense pen friendship quickly develops between Brod’s cousin Felice Bauer (Lia von Blarer) and Kafka, which ultimately culminates in an engagement. However, their lack of knowledge of each other leads to a complicated on-off relationship. But Felice is not the only complicated relationship in Kafka’s life.
For further information Occupation of Kafka include Verena Altenberger, Charly Hübner and The Zone of Interest actor Christian Friedel.
