Then the height of summer comes back – here it can be 25 degrees

Then the height of summer comes back here it

Recently, the summer weather has not offered any direct high pressure. Instead of persistent heat, bright sun and zero precipitation, the weather in more or less the entire country has been unstable and in some places even resulted in floods.

Ahead of the weekend, the dull weather with colder temperatures is expected to persist.

SMHI has previously told News24 that the rain is not the only thing, in several places you also have to hold on as it can get really windy. This applies mainly in the southern parts of the country before the rain then moves north.

As we now find ourselves in the middle of August, the reasonable question to ask is: Will the high summer heat return?

To find out, Nyheter24 spoke to SMHI’s meteorologist Anna Belking which tells us what we can expect.

Will the high summer heat return in the near future?

– We do not now see that there will be any long-lasting high summer pressure, at least not in the near future. There will be slightly warmer winds, but the unstable low pressure will return again, she says.

SMHI: Here it will be high summer heat – a short period

But don’t despair. Although the weather institute cannot yet predict any persistent weather with warm winds and bright sun, it is not completely out of the question as we are barely halfway into August.

– The precipitation over central and northern Norrland will slow down more and more next week. A ridge of high pressure grows in during the day on Monday, which then flows up over large parts of the country, she says and adds:

– During Tuesday, the temperature reaches high summer-like temperatures of around 23 to 25 degrees, above all in Götaland and Svealand. But after that it is still more unstable and more low pressure can move in over the country again.
