Then the entire front line of Ukraine collapses

Elon Musk is clear.
In a post on X, he thinks that the entire Ukraine’s front line would collapse if he turned off the Starlink satellite system.
“It’s the backbone of the Ukrainian army,” he writes.

The United States has threatened to shut down Ukraine’s access to Elon Musk’s satellite system Starlink if they do not have access to important minerals and sign Donald Trump’s mentioned mineral agreement.

According to Johan Huovinen, Lieutenant Colonel and teacher at the Swedish Defense College, it would be a killing type for the Ukrainian population and for the military.

-Above all, the military part where the Drönark War is completely dependent on having the encrypted Starlink relationship, but also for the hospitals, for the state leadership and for the parts of civil society that does not have access to the Internet, he has previously told TV4 News.

Musk’s play: “would collapse”

Now the tech billionaire Elon Musk comes with a play around Starlink, which delivers high -speed internet to Ukraine during the war against Russia.

“The entire front line would collapse if I turned it off,” he writes on x.

He believes that the system is the “backbone of the Ukrainian army” and at the same time describes the war as “years of deadlock which Ukraine will inevitably lose”.

“Everyone who cares, thinks and understands really wants to stop the meat grinder,” he writes.

Professor: “Not absolutely crucial”

Many believe that Starlink has played a very important role for Ukraine’s communication during the war – especially at the front in the eastern parts of the country.

But Hans Liwång, professor of defense systems at the Swedish Defense College, has previously told TT that the satellite network is not absolutely crucial for Ukraine to be able to defend itself, but that the civilians should suffer a description.

– Starlink is not the main alternative (for Ukraine) but a very handy alternative. It is important to remember that the regular communication solutions, such as the mobile network, and military communication solutions usually work, in most of Ukraine, he says.
