Steffo Törnqvist has been in TV4’s long-running Nyhetsmorgon for a full 47 seasons, and he has become a real viewer favorite.
But during the summer he has been missing in the studio. It is because he was hospitalized at the beginning of July, reports say The Express. The presenter underwent surgery and got a new knee and then a period of rehabilitation was expected.
“Well, got a sprained knee a few hours ago and all the staff seem happy, me too, so so far so good,” he wrote in a post on Instagram after the operation.

Is on the road to recovery
He tells Expressen that he is on the road to recovery and has spent the last few weeks with his wife Caroline Törnquist at their land location.
– It’s fine. It’s going according to plan or a little better. I can walk without crutches, but I’d rather not. I train like an idiot three times a day, the rehab is important, he tells the newspaper.

Then Steffo comes back to Nyhetsmorgon
Due to the operation, Steffo has not been able to be part of Nyhetsmorgon in recent weeks. But now he will soon be back in the box for his 48th season in the program.
– I’ll be back next week on Friday. It feels great, and this year I’m going to run some extra broadcasts around the American election. I am extremely interested in politics, both domestic and foreign, so it will be great fun, he tells Expressen.
