We all remember the loving Farmer Seeking Wife couple Michael and Mariette. Today, they live together in the small village of Gökhem, a short distance from Lake Hornborgasjön.
Mariette moved in with her ostrich farmer Micke almost immediately after the cameras for the program stopped rolling.

The couple felt that there was nothing to wait for, because their love for each other was so great.
– I remember so well when I fell in love with Mariette. It was a summer morning at the end of the shoot. I came down the stairs and met her in the kitchen. It’s hard to explain, but Mariette shone like the sun, says Michael in an interview with Happened.
Now the couple is thinking about a wedding. The dream is to get married and expand the farm shop with a café and a catering business.

If Micke were to ask for Mariette’s hand, she wouldn’t have hesitated for a second, she tells Happened.
– If Michael proposes, I will absolutely say yes. There is nothing to think about, I do not hesitate for five cents! We are so very happy together, it’s a wonderful feeling, says Mariette and smiles widely.

Although Michael has not proposed yet, it has already been decided that there will be a wedding in the future. It will probably be held outdoors, as it is something that both Michael and Mariette want.
However, exactly when is not set in stone.
– I am quite sure that we will get married. Or rather: we will! Whether it will be in a year or two, or whatever it may be, I don’t know. We are quite open when it comes to the time frame, says Michael Happened.
