Now, an even bigger change is in store for some mobile phone users who are used to using Android apps.
New operating system from Huawei
It’s the site Mobil.se which reports that the mobile giant Huawei will launch a new version of the operating system Harmony OS.
The new variant, called Harmony OS Next, will not contain a Linux kernel and thus is no longer tied to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). This in turn means that no Android apps will be able to be used with the new operating system.

The operating system in question will be implemented on all of Huawei’s products eventually, but the first to get Harmony OS Next is the Mate 70 mobile phone, which is expected to hit the market in the second half of 2024.
According to Mobil.se, the following Huawei models will receive the new operating system during the fourth quarter of this year:
