Theater performances bring local history back to life

Local history will be brought to life at the Waterford History and Agricultural Museum.

On June 25, Live History Theatre, a Governor General Award-nominated theater company, will present three performances of Behind the Glass, an interactive experience that has an escape room, theater and mystery elements.

Visitors will act as curators of nearby museums called to the Waterford museum to figure out what is causing disturbances there – books out of place, a card in the display case with no item behind it, antiques in the wrong spots, artifacts standing the wrong side up.

Once inside, visitors will be greeted by one of the exhibits that has come to life. They will be happy to show you around and share stories about other exhibits. As you hear their stories, it becomes clear one of them is the culprit. Succeeded in determining who and you will be promoted. Fail and you could find yourself trapped behind glass forever.

The shows are Saturday, June 25 at 3 pm, 6 pm and 8 pm Limited tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. They can be purchased at www.eventbrite.ca/e/behind-the-glass-tickets-330909036837
