Marianne Basler’s piece was created a few years ago, before Annie Ernaux won the Nobel Prize for her entire body of work. In his autobiographical account The other girl, Annie Ernaux sends a letter to her sister who died two years before she was born. A sister she inadvertently learns of and who, in the words of her mother, was “ nicer than that “. Our guest, Marianne Basler “says” this text written in 2011 which echoes her own story, on the boards of the Théâtre des Mathurins.
