Theater: for the director Rodolphe Dana, “everyone can appropriate Bartleby”

Cultural guest

“Bartleby”, according to the short story by Herman Melville, is to be found at the Gérard Philippe Theater in Saint-Denis until April 17, 2022.

Bartlebya short story written by Herman Melville, author of Moby-Dick, tells the story of a strange and unique office worker who gradually abandons all activity in a kind of passive resistance to the world of work. Rodolphe Dana adapted the short story on the stage of the Gérard Philippe Theater in Saint-Denis, himself taking on the role of the boss opposite his employee Bartleby played by Adrien Guiraud. A joyful duo that takes us into a nightmarish atmosphere to the comical.
