1.8M, this is the space assigned to a prisoner from Belarus, (name claimed by the artists rather than Belarus). It is also the title of Ivan Viripaev’s latest production. In this play, the Russian director gives voice to political prisoners and their families. The play created in Warsaw where many Belarusians have found refuge fleeing the Lukashenko regime is performed by six Belarusian actors and two Poles. Presented at the Faraway festival in Reims, 1.8M is played in the Paris region at the Nanterre Amandiers Theater from February 14 to 18.
