The Walking Dead zombies get a Latin-influenced new name

The 4th episode of the new The Walking Dead series revolves around Dr. Chauncey Everett (Anthony Edwards), who has been studying zombies for years. As Comic Book explains about the episode, this also introduces a new name for the living dead. dr Everett refers to them as “homo mortuus”.

The name is made up of the Latin terms “homo” (human) and “mortuus” (dead) together. The new name for the zombies from The Walking Dead is not really catchy. Since “Beißer” remains much easier in the head.
