Taylor Sheridan is not just the king of the Yellowstone series cosmos. He has also had the streaming service Paramount+ since 2022 Crime comedy Tulsa King with none other than Sylvester Stallone running. The Expendables star has recently been back in front of the camera in Oklahoma and Atlanta.
The second season of the amusing gangster format is now being filmed and we can provide you with initial information about it. The other story details will of course remain under wraps for a while, but a lot has happened behind the scenes and among the cast.
What is the Sylvester Stallone series Tulsa King about?
At the beginning, Dwight “The General” Manfredi (Stallone) is released from prison after 25 years and is immediately asked to do crooked business again. More precisely, the New Yorker should set up a criminal operation in remote Tulsa, Oklahoma, which his fellow gangsters didn’t exactly impose on him with good intentions. In an environment that is alien to him, he still does his worst to build a new empire with illustrious allies.

Season 2: What has changed in front of and behind the camera?
According to Deadline, Craig Zisk has been hired as the format’s new director. He is known for his work on series such as Weeds – Small Deals Between Neighbors, Nip/Tuck – Beauty Has Its Price or, most recently, Halo. He is also involved with Tulsa King as an executive producer, as are Sheridan and former showrunner Terence Winter.
Annabella Sciorra, who plays Dwight’s younger sister Joanne, and Tatiana Zappardino aka his estranged daughter Tina, have been promoted for Season 2 and are now part of the main cast of the series.
This also includes Andrea Savage as love interest Agent Beale, Martin Starr as a drug dealer, Max Casella as gangster Manny, Domenick Lombardozzi as underboss Chickie, Vincent Piazza as his top capo and Garrett Hedlund as bar owner Mitch.

Where to stream Tulsa King in Germany?
The first season of Tulsa King is complete with nine episodes at German Paramount+ before. Alternatively, you can purchase the series as a purchase title on Amazon, Google Play and Apple TV.
But because there aren’t nearly as many people on Paramount+ as there are on Netflix and Co., the Stallone series has been a bit lost so far. We also notice this at Moviepilot, where only 368 of you left a rating for the format. Still, Tulsa King comes up with a whole decent rating of 7.5/10 and would definitely have earned even more favorite series hearts than just 17.
Of course, there is no start date for the second season yet, but we will keep you updated.
