A Greek composer, architect and engineer with a passion for mathematics and computer science, Iannis Xenakis revolutionized music in the second half of the 20th century. On the occasion of the centenary of his birth, the Cité de la Musique within the Philharmonie de Paris is devoting the first retrospective to him entitled “Révolutions Xenakis”.
An exhibition at the initiative of his daughter Makhi Xenakis which also revives the man behind the artist considered today as a pioneer of digital art.
In conjunction with the Révolutions Xenakis exhibition, the Philharmonie de Paris is offering four days of concerts, workshops and meetings from March 17 to 20 devoted to the work of the composer of Greek origin, naturalized French.
