Of Innu origin, one of the recognized indigenous peoples in Canada, the writer and journalist Michel Jean is one of the first to have written about his community. On the occasion of the release of his new novel Montreal (Le Seuil) which takes place in a Montreal square where permanently homeless Innu people live, our journalist met him in this public place in Quebec.
The interview with writer and journalist Michel Jean can be listened to in its entirety on the show Literature Without Borders recorded in Quebec and broadcast this Friday at 1:30 p.m. UT on RFI or in podcast on our site.
