The world’s most expensive strawberries – $ 100 pieces

Perfect sweetness and fancy exterior • praised in social media: “I am speechless, get shivers”

Extra big and extra sweet. This is how the super -hyped strawberries from Japan that TikTok are now flooded over.
“Wow, it’s crazy, it’s the best strawberry I’ve ever eaten,” said American influencer Alyssa Annoci in a clip on Tiktok when she tests one of the swindling guys.

The fact that food prices have increased sharply in recent years may not have avoided anyone. And of course you can complain about the price of coffee and cucumber, but there is nothing against the Japanese luxury old guys that are described as extra large and tasty and who have recently sailed up as the trendiest berry on Tiktok.

The California -based chain Erewhon, known for its smoothies and organic Sallander, has recently launched what they call “the world’s best strawberry” – and most likely also – the world’s most expensive. For the stingy there are budget options from around $ 18, but if you want to luxury it a little extra, there are guys that are even bigger and tastier – for about $ 100 each. And the reactions in social media are overwhelming among influencers with hundreds of thousands of followers.

“Wow, it’s crazy, it’s the best strawberry I’ve ever eaten,” says Tiktokaren Alyssa Annoci, who tries a Dollar’s old man packaged in a plastic cup from the Japanese city of Kyoto.

“The juiciest chew I’ve eaten”

At the Harrods US department, the Japanese guys are also sold in multi -packs, neatly embedded in white packaging in an exclusive box. The price? 180 dollars the box.

“It was the juicy bite I tasted, I am speechless, get shivers,” says Tiktok influencer Carmie Sellitto, who almost starts crying after taking a chew of the explusive berry from the box.

– Number one, I’m so broke now. And number two, it was sooo good, he says in the clip on his Tiktok channel.

But not everyone is as lyrical. In the Community fields, followers describe the posts as “embarrassing”, “This is so dystopian”, “The waste of plastic is crazy” and “if I paid $ 20 for a strawberry I would also have thought it was the best I had eaten”.

Strong reactions

And if you are looking to taste the hyped guys yourself, but think the price is a bit juicy, there is a cheaper alternative. If you still go to Japan, say …

At the Uesugi Traxberry Farm in Kyoto, self -picking is offered and you can eat as much as you can for 50 minutes for about SEK 135.
