– I am a better woman and a better person because Turner’s life touched my own life. He was simply the best, Winfrey wrote, quoting Turner’s smash hit Simply the Best.
Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger said that Turner helped him when he was young, and that Jagger will never forget this.
– He was an extremely talented performer and singer. He was inspiring, warm, funny and generous, Jagger wrote on Twitter.
Vocalist Mariah Carey said Turner’s story of survival is a source of inspiration for all women in the world.
– To me, she will always be a survivor and an inspiration to women everywhere. His music will inspire whole generations in the future as well. Rest in peace Queen, Carey said.
