Programs that provide access to ChatGPT have disappeared from WeChat accounts. Numerous reports claimed that major tech firms, including WeChat’s parent company Tencent and Ant Group, were instructed to cut off access to the programs.
While searches for ChatGPT on Chinese platforms no longer yield results, workaround programs have been disabled or replaced with a notice that they are suspended for “violating relevant laws and regulations,” the South China Morning Post reported.
