The world according to Hubert Haddad

The world according to Hubert Haddad

At the heart of the priory of La Charité sur Loire, an architectural ensemble from the 11th and 12th centuries listed as a UNESCO heritage site, we listen to the words of Hubert Haddad, polymorphic poet and novelist, free artist and determined to restore a place in literature to imagination and its infinite powers. Hubert Haddad has been published for more than 30 years by Zulma editions, he received the grand prize of the Society of People of Letters for all of his work, presented at the Festival Aux quatre coins du Mot of which RFI is a partner.

A precious work because it questions our history, often at the height of a child, a work that summons our memories, in documented fictions, where we readers sometimes find it hard to believe how much reality has often exceeded fiction.

In this special program dedicated to the world according to Hubert Haddad. We first mention The Devil’s Inventionpublished in 2022, then Palestine published in 2007, A monster and chaos published in 2019, and finally we will take the time of the great hopes carried by the annual review Apuleius, of which Hubert Haddad is the editor-in-chief. The number #8 of the annual review is devoted to Great expectations… or how to resist in literature.
