The words that were deleted from Allsang pa Skansen

Tuesday’s episode of “Allsång på Skansen” left few untouched. The host Pernilla wahlgren chose to honor the show’s former host Lasse Berghagen’s memory along with Tommy Nilsson.

Together with the audience, they sang Berghagen’s song “Teddybjörnen Fredriksson”.

– He left an incredibly large void behind him and it became like a national mourning, said Wahlgren in the program.

Berghagen’s widow was also in the audience Eve.

Some of the other artists who made appearances on the show were Timo Raisänen, Oscar Zia and Parham. Together they have written the song “DNA” which they performed on SVT.

Afterwards it was time for a classic – namely Carola Häggkvist song “Hey Mickey”.

However, the song received a slight change in the program. SVT chose to delete one of the lines:

“So take me and hold me tight and show me what you can do. Anywhere, anytime, I know you’re the man. So don’t say no, we like each other Mickey”.

In another email The Express explains SVT’s Mathilda Baggeproject manager for “Allsång på Skansen”, that the change had nothing to do with the meaning of the text:

“Our conductor Stefan Brunzell arranges pretty much all the music that is performed in “Allsång på Skansen” and in some cases we need to shorten a song by a few lines for time reasons. In Mickey, this was the best place to cut, and has nothing to do with the text lines,” she writes, continuing:

“We are extremely proud to have our own house band with Kapellmeister Stefan Brunzell at the Allsångsscenen, who interprets and arranges all the music week after week”.
