It was in August 2021 that the police were alerted to a field near Valskog, between Arboga and Kungsör. The first information concerned a serious crime, but shortly afterwards the police were able to conclude that it was a dead woman who was found in a ditch. The woman was in her 60s and a resident of Arboga municipality.
The criminal classification was murder or manslaughter. However, the murder investigation was closed in mid-May. Interrogations are being held with a large number of people, but no one has been suspected of a crime.
– The investigation suggests that the death was caused by drowning. On the investigative material we have, it is not possible to prove that any person has committed a crime, says Fredrik Ingblad.
