The wolf killed ten of Anna’s sheep: “Didn’t think it was true”

Even though the sheep pen had an electric fence, the wolf managed to get in and kill ten of the sheep. What remained were three lambs and one ewe.

– We have electric fences for all our animals. But then I thought that such a good fence with a strong current in it would help keep the wolf away, says farm owner Anna Kristensson.

When daughter Amanda Kristensson and two colleagues came down to the pasture on Wednesday, they saw that the sheep were scattered in the pasture.

– It’s terrible, it’s such suffering for the sheep too, says Amanda Kristensson.

Wants protection hunting

This is the third wolf attack in southern Halland since the beginning of September. And now Anna Kristensson wants protection hunting to begin.

– I am worried that the wolf will attack my other animals. I don’t think it will stop now that it has started, she says.

If the County Administrative Board decides to analyze the DNA on the wolf, they can then make a decision on whether a possible protective hunt should be initiated.
