The Witcher Remake will be open world

According to CD Projekt Red’s announcement in its 2022 Q3 financial report, The Witcher Remake will host an open world.

The Witcher Remake will be open world. Announcing a lot of Witcher Projects last month, CDPR officially announced The Witcher Remake game, which will be developed with Unreal Engine 5, at the end of October. The company, which became silent after that, included the game, albeit briefly, in its 2022 third quarter financial report.

The Witcher Remake will host an open world

The CDPR financial report emphasized that the game will be a “story-driven, single-player open-world role-playing game” and that “we will have to wait until further details are released”. Adam Badowski of CD Projekt made the following statement about the game:
“The Witcher was the game that started it all for CD Projekt Red, it was our first game, it was a very important moment for us. It gives us the same excitement to go back and adapt The Witcher to the next generation.”

CDPR has stated that The Witcher remake will have the quality of the usual Witcher games. At this stage, expectations have increased that a Witcher 3-style open world will be added to the game. In the first Witcher game, we will see Geralt a lot in Vizima, the capital of Temerian, which we briefly visited in the third game. And judging by the structure of the game, the Temerian region will be included in the game in detail.
