Ukrainian Presidential Office Advisor Mikhail Podolyak said that the negotiation process between delegations between his country and Russia has been suspended.
“THE SITUATION IN UKRAINE HAS CHANGED A LOT”
Podolyak said in a statement that the situation in Ukraine has changed a lot since the start of the war.
Noting that the Russian administration still does not understand this, Podolyak stated that the negotiation process between the delegations on ending the war between Ukraine and Russia was suspended because Russia did not take the changes into account.
Podolyak used the following statements:
“The negotiation process depends on how the events are going in Ukraine. The process was suspended because there was no significant change or progress after the Istanbul Declaration. Russia still maintains its stereotypical thinking. Russia in general, even at the 82nd day of the war, from the very beginning of the situation in Ukraine. “He didn’t realize that it wasn’t the same as they’ve been thinking since. But I stress this: any war will still end at the negotiating table.”
DELEGATION INTERVIEWS
The delegations of Russia and Ukraine held face-to-face negotiations three times in the cities of Gomel and Brest in Belarus, and once in Istanbul in Turkey, in order to achieve a ceasefire. In the negotiations held in Istanbul on March 29, both sides made significant progress towards the ceasefire. (AA)
