The weather forecast this week will be snow, rain and heat

The heat refuses to let go of Sweden – even though it is October.
In the coming week, both rain and snow are expected to fall in some places – but in others the summer temperatures will remain.
– You can almost say that it will be a midsummer morning, says TV4 Nyheterna’s meteorologist Madeleine Westin.

The month of September was warm, in places warmer than it was in July. Although Sweden has entered October, the high temperatures refuse to let go of the southern parts of the country.

– In the southern parts of the country, both in Götaland and in Svealand, the beginning of the week will be very hot. The temperature will be a good white above what is normal for the season, says Madeleine Westin, meteorologist.

25 degree difference between southern and northern Sweden

In the northern parts of the country, it will be noticeable that autumn is here. In some cities, temperatures will be winter-like.

– There will be almost a 20-25 degree difference between the southern and northern parts of the country, says the meteorologist.

In southern Sweden it will be warm for a few days, although a large amount of rain is expected to fall over Halland, Småland, Öland and Gotland from Tuesday.

– It can be a lot.

The week begins with unexpectedly fine weather in the south, according to the forecast.

– In both Malmö and Gothenburg it will be 16, 17 degrees at eight in the morning. You could almost say it’s a midsummer morning, says Madeleine Westin.

“Could be slippery on the roads”

In the northernmost parts of the country, the week begins chilly, and even though the sun is expected to come out after a few days, the low temperatures persist.

– It will be zero degrees or just below. It could even be slippery on the roads, she says.

The “normal” autumn weather moves in over southern Sweden in the middle of the week.

– It will be a little crisper in the air and if you end up on the west coast and down towards Skåne, there will be fresh and strong northerly winds that will bring some rain showers.
