The “weak” companion from Season 3 is already defeating powerful bosses – soon it will become even stronger

At the start of Season 3 in Diablo 4, the Seneschal had to take a lot of criticism from the community. Now the third season is in full swing and the construct is praised for its power: it even kills powerful bosses single-handedly. And Blizzard will make your companion even stronger in the next patch.

What is the Seneschal? The Seneschal aka the Construct is the special feature of the third season in Diablo 4. Season 1 brought buffs in the form of the Wicked Hearts, while your character in Season 2 had vampire powers.

You strengthen the construct with rune stones, which make it more powerful: You can equip your seneschal with up to 2 so-called guide stones, which determine the behavior of your companion. There is also the option of using up to 6 voting stones. You can choose from 12 guiding stones and 27 voting stones.

As you can see, the Seneschal is getting buffs all around. This in combination with the recently discovered usefulness of the companion makes it an absolute powerhouse. With the patch, the Seneschal may be your new best friend in Diablo 4.

How have things been going with the Seneschal so far? The Seneschal is pretty useless, especially at low levels. This meant that the players were extremely annoyed by the gimmick, especially at the start of the third season. That was the status on January 25th.

However, on January 28th we were able to report on an exciting development: At higher levels, the seneschal is suddenly extremely well received.

After an emergency patch for the season, guide and coordination stones now drop twice as often as before. This, in combination with faster build tests, resulted in a huge uptick in the popularity of the pet: it now simply wipes out bosses like Uber Duriel.

Are you already having fun with your little companion? Or do you still find the Seneschal useless even with the guides, high level and buffs? Please let us know in the comments.
