The latest expansion for World of Warcraft has a release date. The War Within will start in August.
For months now, there has been a lot of speculation about when the expansion The War Within for World of Warcraft will be released. However, a first look at the beta shows that development already looks very advanced. Now Blizzard has announced the release date and it is much sooner than most people thought. Already in August.
When is the release of World of Warcraft: The War Within? The release of WoW: The War Within will take place on August 26, 2024 – in less than 3 months. Due to the time difference, the release in Europe will be on August 27.
When does Early Access start? Anyone who has pre-ordered the Epic Edition of The War Within will receive – in addition to beta access – early access to the finished game. This was previously stated to be at least 3 days – but it seems likely that it will be 4 days.
Early Access for The War Within begins on August 22, 2024 – in Europe probably on August 23 (again due to the time difference).
What’s in the new expansion? In World of Warcraft: The War Within there are four new areas and new hero talents that allow you to further customize your character. There are also warbands, a cross-account system for most of the game’s unlocks. Blizzard wants to move away from a character-centric game and move towards recognizing your account achievements so that you can switch between different characters more easily.
There are also new depths for solo fans – an endgame system that is on par with dungeons and raids, but is also interesting for solo players or small groups. We have all the information about The War Within for you here.
What do you think about the early release of The War Within? A good decision? Or should Blizzard take more time?
