Set nearly 200 years before Bilbo Baggins came into contact with the ring of power, the film focuses on the story of King Helmet (Brian Cox) of Rohan and his daughter, Princess Héra (Gaia Wise).

He worked with Philippa Boyens, Jason DeMarco, Joseph Chou and Andy Serkis, who have produced successful animation projects.
