Many of the tire manufacturers make their tires in Russia, but in April this year the EU adopted a sanctions package that banned the import of Russian tire products. And now several Swedish tire dealers are sounding the alarm that there may be an acute shortage of studded tires before the winter, because such a large proportion of the tires used in Sweden are manufactured in Russia.
A consequence of that can be that you are forced to continue using old winter tires that should really be replaced or buy studded tires of poorer quality.
