The end of The Walking Dead was just the beginning for several spin-offs from the successful zombie universe. The current spin-off series includes Daryl Dixon with Norman Reedus in his signature role. As the star has now explained, he wants to remain loyal to The Walking Dead franchise for many years to come.
Norman Reedus wants to further enrich The Walking Dead with original ideas
In an interview with Mr Feelgood, the star talked about wanting to play Daryl for another six or seven years. He then explained in more detail what the appeal of the TWD spin-off would be for him:
The spin-off with Daryl Dixon gave me the opportunity to take the series in a different direction than the original series. I didn’t want to do the same show again in a different place. I wanted to reinvent it. And they let me invent something new together with the other like-minded people. So it feels fresh to me. It’s in a different language. It’s shot differently. It’s not really about zombies and who gets bitten this week, it’s totally different. As long as I keep reinventing it, it’s fun.
In The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, the character finds himself in France, where he has to find his way in a completely new environment and in a different language.
