The Walking Dead has an alternate ending and here is the first image showing the adult Rick Jr

The Walking Dead ended last week after 177 episodes. Although the franchise will be continued through other spin-off series, the parent series delivered an overwhelming emotional finale which has made many fans very happy. But we now know that it’s not the only ending filmed for The Walking Dead.

The alternative The Walking Dead ending jumps back in time by 15 years and shows us the adult Rick Grimes Jr., who, like his father, Rick Grimes, is on a quest to find survivors. Ultimately, however, the creative minds behind the series decided to cut the scene.

This is what the alternate ending of The Walking Dead looks like

Cinematographer Duane Charles Manwiller grants us a small one, though Insight into the cut scene. On Instagram, he posts a snap from the shoot that shows us Rick Grimes Jr. (Roland Buck III), Ezra (Seoum Tylor Aun), Coco (Sahara Ale), Gracie (Tess Cline) and Judith Grimes (Britt Baron).

Whether we’ll ever see the full scene is unclear. One would be conceivable Release as a bonus on the DVD and Blu-ray. So far, however, there is no official information as to whether the alternative The Walking Dead ending will ever find its way to the public. Last but not least, AMC could thus block some opportunities to expand the franchise.
