The ensemble of The Walking Dead is huge. Shortly before the finale after 11 seasons, the series opening credits are bursting at the seams with 20 names of the current main actors. Some fans might not have noticed that one Figure not seen at all for over two years was. However, this was not written entirely from the zombie series, but is now celebrating its surprising return.

The Walking Dead brings back Dan Fogler as Luke for the finale
Big is the surprise in the 22nd episode entitled Faith (originally: Faith). Three episodes before the big series finale, the character jumps hatch suddenly out of the branches in front of Aaron and his group as if he had never been away. It is the first appearance of Fantastic Beasts star Dan Fogler after 27 episodes of absence.

The Walking Dead brings Luke back
Dan Fogler kicked first time in season 9 after the big jump in time as the character Luke known from The Walking Dead comics. He is Member of the group around Magna and Yumiko. Surprisingly, the character survived more than a few episodes. Because in the template, Luke was one of the victims of Alpha’s fence massacre.
We last saw Luke in episode 16 of season 10. He was absent from the six subsequent bonus episodes and most of season 11, and with good reason. Dan Folger is a sought after actor in Hollywood and had his engagement in The Walking Dead among others on hiatus for his commitments to the Fantastic Beasts franchise.
Fogler has been anything but idle over the past two years. Since his last appearance on The Walking Dead, Dan Folger has stood as No-Maj Jacob Kowalski for Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets on Camera, played the director Francis Ford Coppola in the godfather-making series The Offer and took on a role in the biopic Spinning Gold.
But now Dan Folger is back as ex-music teacher Luke, who has split with his Oceanside sweetheart Jules in the final three episodes of The Walking Dead joins the final battle against the Commonwealth and an army of undead. And hopefully he didn’t come back just to die after all.
The Walking Dead Season 11: When is the series finale coming to Disney+?
The 11th and final season of The Walking Dead includes a total of 24 episodes. In Germany, the series finale will be streamed on November 21, 2022 on Disney + *.
