The Wahlgren-Ingrosso family’s Christmas celebration without Hans: “Strange”

The Wahlgren Ingrosso familys Christmas celebration without Hans Strange

The Wahlgren-Ingrosso family was unfortunately forced to say goodbye Hans Wahlgren this spring. He died on May 10 after a period of illness, he was 86 years old.

“My beloved life partner. Since we were 19 years old. The sadness is endless. But at the same time I feel such happiness that we as a family had such a nice time together when we followed you all the way to the other side.”, his wife wrote Christina Schollin on Instagram after his passing.

Now Christmas Eve is around the corner and it will be the family’s first without Hans. In SVT’s talk show “Carina Bergfeldt” tells Pernilla Wahlgren about the Christmas plans.

Pernilla Wahlgren’s birthday is on Christmas Eve

The family’s Christmas celebration is not like any other as Christmas Eve and Pernilla Wahlgren’s birthday fall on the same day.

– My birthday is on Christmas Eve, so we not only celebrate the birth of Jesus in our family, we also celebrate Pernilla Wahlgren’s birth, says Pernilla Wahlgren in the program and laughs.

She continues and explains that she is courted by the children in the morning who often sleep through the night until Christmas Eve. Then every birthday she is woken up by them singing to her.

So they will celebrate Christmas Eve without Hans

She also says that the family has been thinking about Hans now at Christmas time.

– We usually always give a little nub to her brother who passed away and who was very dear to us and whose name is Quay. Then I told mom that we have to put a guy for dad there too, so he will be there, she says.

And there is a moment when Hans will shine a little extra with his absence. Hans Wahlgren’s father does the voice. “Lady and Lufsen” which is part of “Kalle Anka” on Christmas Eve.

– That moment was sacred, because dad always said “come, come, my dad is on TV” or our grandfather then. So he sat and he knew all the lines by heart. It will feel very strange that he is not sitting there and is with us, but he will still be with us. His soul will be there, she says.
