The police see the match as a high-risk match and will monitor Rocklunda, Blåsbo, Vega and Aroslund with drones on Saturday. According to the police, supporter police from Stockholm are assisting.
– We also get help from police officers from another region, but we never talk about the size, says police spokesperson Tobias Ahlén-Svalbro.
The last time a big club from Stockholm visited, everything went smoothly.
Testing new action
For the first time, the municipality’s voluntary emergency response team is deployed to a football match in Västerås, which VLT be the first to tell. They are trained for crisis preparedness, helped the elderly shop during the pandemic and moved in during the Västerås City Festival.
The emergency group, twelve people in six groups, will help the away supporters. The municipality makes the assessment that it is a necessary measure.
