The information about the little girl became known last spring when Sydsvenskan reported on the case. According to the police, the girl is suspected of having been poisoned with vinegar by her parents.
When she came under hospital care on Christmas weekend 2022, she was dying. The parents were then arrested on suspicion of extremely serious assault.
The girl, aged seven, has now been discharged from hospital. According to the prosecutor, Ingegerd Jigin, the girl is doing well under the circumstances.
The investigation against the parents, who deny the accusations, will soon be completed and the prosecutor believes he will be able to make a decision on charges in September.
