Svea Vaccin’s CEO Ridha Hadfi has taken out 75 million in profit since 2019.

Nevertheless, he believes that Svea Vaccin cannot afford to replace all its old refrigerators, despite the revelation that vaccines may have been stored too hot.

– It has nothing to do with the case, he says to Aftonbladet.

Some time ago, 200 seconds revealed serious flaws in Svea Vaccin. Staff posing as doctors were not credentialed. Vaccines were stored in incorrect temperatures, transported in garbage bags between clinics and sent by Post Nord to remote locations in the country.

The Swedish Medicines Agency’s expert Farshid Jalalvand condemned the handling and said it could be dangerous if people who believe they are vaccinated do not receive the protection they should have.

The report led to Region Stockholm breaking the agreement with Svea Vaccin and vaccine suppliers stopping their deliveries to the company.

Initiated review

IVO also initiated an investigation and an exchange of letters with the company’s owner and CEO Ridha Hadfi.

In his latest response to IVO, Hadfi writes, among other things:

“The fact that the thermometers can temporarily show above all high levels can have several reasons, e.g. High load when unpacking many vaccines and does not impair the quality of the vaccine.”

He also writes that the company grew quickly in a short time and that much of the quality work was done verbally without being documented and “we have come after that”.

“Buy in gradually”

The company is “now developing routines for a variety of checks, of which the temperature in the refrigerators is one”.

About the usual, existing refrigerators, Hadfi writes that:

“Special refrigerators for vaccines are planned to be purchased gradually when the company’s finances allow”.

According to the Swedish Companies Registration Office, Ridha Hadfi as the sole owner between 2019 and 2022 has collected SEK 75 million in profit distributions.

When asked why they did not prioritize buying refrigerators intended for vaccines earlier, Hadfi answers briefly:

– It has nothing to do with the matter.

He then hangs up the phone.
