The USA is looking for that name in Syria HTS

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken held a press conference in Aqaba, Jordan, where he went for the foreign ministers’ meeting held to discuss the developments in Syria.

“SYRIA HAS CHANGED MORE IN A WEEK”

“Syria has changed more than in any week in the last half century,” he told the meeting. Blinken said the United States and other regional powers have agreed to a set of principles they hope Syria’s interim leaders will abide by in exchange for “support and recognition” for a future Syrian government.

Blinken called for an “inclusive and representative” transitional government in Syria to respect the rights of minorities and women, show no tolerance for terrorist groups, destroy chemical weapons stockpiles, and get along with Syria’s neighbors.

HTŞ STATEMENT: ‘WE ARE IN CONTACT’

When asked by a journalist whether there was communication with HTS, which the USA sees as a terrorist group, during this process, Blinken said, “We are in contact with HTS and other parties.” He stated that they emphasized to everyone in contact the importance of finding American journalist Austin Tice, who was detained during the Assad regime, and bringing him home.

Blinken reminded that he had meetings with the authorities in Turkey about the situation of the PKK/YPG terrorist organization groups, which use the name SDF in Syria, and suggested that DAESH may try to benefit from the transition process in Syria, and that “it is very important for these groups to maintain this role at this time.” he said.
